Cedar Point & Ohio Bike Week Escapades

DAY-OFF with HAN :)

We made crazy plans...we wanted to go to the mall in the morning, then skip off to SOAK CITY (some sister water theme park of cedar point), and then run around Cedar point in the late evening before heading to the local pub for drinks and crazy mingling at night. BUT FAIL. HAHAHA...still it was pretty fun!

We ate chicken for lunch then shopped all the way til evening since it was raining. And then we took the rides...like FINALLY. I took the Blue Streak and the Demon Drop and the Flying Carousel and i nearly freaked out for the first 2 rides even though they are baby rides compared to the major rides attractions in the park. HAHA i think its because we self-high also la....every time i scream and close my eyes, Han will laugh until she cannot scream and then that's when the drops get SCARY. Stupid right? HAHAHAHA. Then we walked around and grabbed food for free from the people we came to know on the trip. Chilli cheese fries and Funnel cakes...super shiok!

So the photos are here on FLICKR (which sucks because of its monthly 100mb limit on uploads) - http://www.flickr.com/photos/18927396@N00/sets/72157620069866895/

That's the Raptor!

We have leather wristbands!

OHIO BIKE WEEK

This annual Harley event was pretty damn fine! And the best part was that we didnt even plan to go for it. I got off work early that evening and bumped into CW and CP...and so we decided to check if it was still on. Apparently the parade was over, but since we were so freakin' bored, we decided to whack la...and search for dinner. So the party grew to include AK and DY, and the 5 of us cabbed down.

It is unlike anything we have ever seen! A funfair so large and so bustling, it was damn exciting! There was weird funfair food like funnel cakes and beer batter fish and steak salad and apple dumplings etcetc and of course BEER. We each bought an item to share, so that's like 5 AWESOME GOODY FOOD! Damn shiok i tell you...i had to become a MAN to ensure that i was not losing out on my share of food! HAHAHA.

There weren't only huge bikes, but rather all the weird Harley-branded bikes that came in 10000000 colours and 100000000000000000000 designs...some of them left me with "Seriously, you would ride this???!!" But the coolest was the open air Rock & Roll Concert that the Earthquakers were entertaining the crowd with. Too bad they played few songs we knew...but "Summer of 69" and "Play that Funky Music" and "Sweet Child of Mine" were enough to bring us to a high! HAHAHA. After some beer and stupid cam-whoring, we finally cabbed back to reality...

More photos under the same FLICKR link above :):):)

SHAMELESS FUN...or absurdity.

SO i thought i should stop being lazy and get some entries right on this page, before i lose my 3 months worth of experience.

BUT i am really tired. so make do with the pictures ok?

And that's just the EXCITING prelude to the others that i uploaded on Flickr (Had to pick a few since the account limits me so pathetically).

SO SEE HERE! http://www.flickr.com/photos/18927396@N00/sets/72157619665863432/

So what is interesting? How about me wanting to buy a BBQ pit (like a pretty pro one with the cover and stand etc) for only 15USD. HAHA i was thinking of bringing it back to Singapore too...ooh, more BBQs in hall at last CCTAN!!! But the BBQ will have to be after the New York trip since we have too much activities lined up!

Or how about DY buying a fishing rod with the weights and hooks etc for 25 USD...BUT we have yet to find a day to use it and hahahaha, we have not exactly found a suitable spot around Lake Erie that allows comfortable fishing without risking us falling into the lake (and the fish we caught laughing at us in their fishy manners), or us having to endure the prickiness of the TALL grass.

Or those stupid MAYFLIES and Dandalions that take turns to torture us by floating around the ENTIRE park and sticking to us relentlessly...Seriously, those bugs are stupid. They just land on everything and refuse to leave even after warning...prompting me to term them as SUCIDAL BUGS. Seriously...there were those that flew right into the hot fryer holding litres of hot lard turned into grease, and others that nose-dive into hot crispy fries (hoping perhaps for a good last meal before they death in 24 hours? *The lifespan of those bugs are 24 hours and their occupation would include mating IMMEDIATELY and haressing people)

Or me and my pretty good description of that trash guy who turned out to be the thief who stole Han's wallet and hp; they found her wallet in his room. DAMN, see that detective in me people! HAHAHA...but unfortuntately the Ak's and my other colleague's bag were not found. :S

Or that WE ARE FINALLY TRAVELLING not just working. We are going to NEW YORK CITY babyyyy! On Mon night we will be taking a night coach for about 12 hours, and then we become tourists! No more "how can i help you?" or "sorry about the wait but the burger will take another 10 #$%^&*(*&^%$ minutes" etcetc. Its time for us to be the bitches. HAHAHA...as if i will ever be one. I am TOO NICE. HAHAHA.

OH YA. I really dont think my blog really show much of USA or the place we are working at...so go see Congwei's POWER TRAVEL BLOG... http://ohayousa.blogspot.com/ Really super power and 100% effort.

And for fun fact - I found my summer-fling candidate...i think! HAHAHA. We went to sit rollercoasters and the Cadillac car ride together on our one hour break today. HAHAHA. Shoot you guys more information next time la...but for now. OH SO CUTE! haha!

Next entry shall be about my third day-off with Han. It will be pictures galore :):)
Take care people, don't miss me too much!

STOP STEALING LOSER.

My second encounter with losing my stuff. I think this deserves a post on its own.
Ok maybe i should start right from the start.

I had just gotten a 30min break after being screamed, yelled, exclaimed at - ok those terms are far too polite. I was hurled vulgarities, questioned rudely about discrimination, certified 'stupid' and 'liar' within the first 2 minutes, and shot in the head for supposedly pricing the food items sold. WOW since when did i become the CFO or the CEO or the relevant authority? Thank you for your highest regard of me though you have idiotly shown how dumb you are to not know the irony between the significance of those positions held and the term 'stupid'. Like @#$%^&*()*&^%$#@#$%. I think i pissed them off by showing nonchalence and giving them the 'i don't give a #$%^&* about you and your stupid inferiority complex'.

Anyway, back to the main story. I went to grab my bag from the locker, but i did not lock it since...no one else does that too! And guess what? IT WAS GONE. Like seriously...i was searching through every- and any- thing. Seriously i couldn't believe it. And then i went to emo at one corner and after 10minutes i decided to make a report. But i wanted to make a last check, and WALAAA...i saw my bag on the top shelf, dirtied and ruffled through. Nothing was taken though...BECAUSE I had so luckily forgotten to bring my wallet to work that day. THANK GOD man...But then i had this ominous feeling so i opened Ak's locker and damn his stuff were GONE. Felt kind of bad because if i had locked his stuff straight away, nothing would have been taken in those mere 10 min..but ok i was all jitters and frantic...what to do?

So our supervisors called the police and we made reports etcetc. I told them about this trash guy who was cross-eyed, him being the only person i saw in the room and talked to...plus he had like 3 garbage bags on the ground. BUT i didnt dare to ask to check those bags...DAMN.

PRETTY SCREWED UP DAY HUH. oh wells...THIEVES SHOULD JUST DIE.
But on a sidenote...i think God was really gracious towards me :):) I'd rather be yelled at 10 times more than have anything stolen from me..

Drink to the time of our lives.

SO we had our very first drinking games session yesterday! Our first games session was a very very sane game of Cranium, which was still unbelievably fun, one week ago.

We played "In-between", "Circle of Death" and "7-up", the same dumb but hilariously funny games as usual. And we whacked Budweiser and red wine, and for the King's cup we had popcorn and Kettle chips and chilli sauce added in too. POOR TONG was unlucky enough to get to drink that deadly shittt concoction. HAHA. Dont know why but it was damn funny yesterday and we got freaking high and drunk. I passed out halfway and slept for about an hour before waking up again. ALL of them were assholes la, kept sabo-ing me.

So much for a supposed night with the hot Columbians at the bar...our co-workers actually informed us of a 'party' at the local bar, which i was really really really tempted to go to! DARNIT, if you see this guy who works at my food service outlet, you will understand. He is pretty cute and has those pretty dark eyes...HAHA sounds perfect right? But sometimes when they talk, their lack of eloquence could ruin everything. HEH. Anyhow, i wasn't going to go there alone, and i was too lazy anyway. In-room drinking is so convenient. HEHEHE...

BUT REALLY...The crux of this, really is, we FINALLY drank and got a little wild in USA! Its like everyone expects people in US to go crazy drunk and high and have exciting night lives, but all we have shown is the workaholic nature in us. BLEAHZ.

Too bad we were to preoccupied with the laughter and drinking and sabo-ing to take any pictures. :P

OH today is my day-off again. But they doesn't seem to be any plans...Dy, Ak and I wanted to make a trip down to Cleveland in a rented car or head down to Put-in Bay for some indulgence in nature or explore the new mall half an hour again...BUT i think our drinking the night before kind of scraped these plans naturally. DARNIT.

I think i might head down to the mall or something later and probably treat myself to a good meal since my last awesome one at the Chinese buffet. I really wanted to explore Downtown Shoreline on my own but i missed the last bus there in the morning. SIANS.. if not it would have been a picture-worthy entry on this lackluster travel blog...I am starting to wonder if i bought my camera for nothing.

On work...it was looking good this week. The internationals working with us are soooo fun! We now have this secret trade service going on where we exchange food that we cook amongst the 3 rooms, and we all assist in sneaking food out for a free meal! HAHAHA, it is not really the food that rocks, but the thrill and fun and cost-savings. Work is getting more fun with these new people...i really hope nothing changes when new people join us.

That's about all i can remember people...a lot of good stories and weird happenings around here, but i can't really put them in words, so...just be contended with what i have written here! :P:P

My parents are back from Turkey (my brother still floating around somewhere in Europe) and they said they bought leather jackets for my whole family of 5 which costs them about 2000USD. COOL SIAH. I have been looking for a nice bomber jacket that isn't too flashy, but i have yet to find one. I hope they are really really nice...though i have to add in that my sisters' and father's tastes are dubious. *cross fingers*

Ok just had lunch with Jovita at Subway and she's off to work...shall head back to my room to check out plans for later...SEE YOU PEOPLE! :)
